Key Accountabilities
Principal Accountabilities:
- Follow all packaging schedules’ and handle all unplanned events.
- May perform break relief and other coverage as needed.
- Improve Technical Efficiency (TE) performance by analyzing and improving changeovers and reducing performance loss.
- Coordinate with the maintenance department, create work orders using SAP and completing daily paperwork and communication logs to reduce downtime on the lines
- Collect information to prepare shifts reports and escalating concerns in a timely manner
- Review and respond appropriately to issues recorded on the tracking boards to avoid rework.
- Assist with continuous improvement, manager of rework and general activities.
- Confirm Work Orders in SAP and completing daily paperwork and communication logs.
- Communicate effectively with supervisors/managers and operators
- Capable to learn basic operations for multiple packaging technologies
- Collect out-of-spec Raw Materials for review by supervision and procurement.
- Effectively coach and document personnel issues to achieve high performance team.
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations(including food safety policies and procedures).
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
- Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
- Basic use of a computer
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous experience as lead operator
- Use of SAP (production system) and WM6 (inventory management)
