Key Accountabilities

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Follow all packaging schedules’ and handle all unplanned events.
  • May perform break relief and other coverage as needed.
  • Improve Technical Efficiency (TE) performance by analyzing and improving changeovers and reducing performance loss.
  • Coordinate with the maintenance department, create work orders using SAP and completing daily paperwork and communication logs to reduce downtime on the lines
  • Collect information to prepare shifts reports and escalating concerns in a timely manner
  • Review and respond appropriately to issues recorded on the tracking boards to avoid rework.
  • Assist with continuous improvement, manager of rework and general activities.
  • Confirm Work Orders in SAP and completing daily paperwork and communication logs.
  • Communicate effectively with supervisors/managers and operators
  • Capable to learn basic operations for multiple packaging technologies
  • Collect out-of-spec Raw Materials for review by supervision and procurement.
  • Effectively coach and document personnel issues to achieve high performance team.
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations(including food safety policies and procedures).
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

  • Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
  • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • High School diploma, GED or equivalent experience.
  • Basic use of a computer
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice



Preferred Qualifications:

  • Previous experience as lead operator
  • Use of SAP (production system) and WM6 (inventory management)
