Principal Accountabilities
- Timely and efficiently move large, full trailers and replace with empty trailers on lot and ensuring the trailer is properly sealed
- Ensure move logs are updated after every move and yard checks and documents are completed regularly throughout the shift
- Conduct visual inspection of the yard truck and complete basic maintenance as required
- Ensure all food safety procedures and practices are followed
- Complete pre-use inspections before usage of the switcher
- Complete empty/loaded trailer reports for shipping office
- Stage trailers, empty or loaded, in Shipping or Receiving dock doors
- Monitor fuel levels and temperatures of loaded trailers and enter via temperature monitoring log
- Report any damages on trailers or switchers
- Maintain cleanliness of all equipment within department
- All other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Responsible for some paperwork and other miscellaneous duties
- Must be dependable and able to work flexible hours
- Must have a valid drivers license
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous warehousing experience
- Previous Cargill experience
- Work history in the past 12 months
