Principal Accountabilities

  • Timely and efficiently move large, full trailers and replace with empty trailers on lot and ensuring the trailer is properly sealed
  • Ensure move logs are updated after every move and yard checks and documents are completed regularly throughout the shift
  • Conduct visual inspection of the yard truck and complete basic maintenance as required
  • Ensure all food safety procedures and practices are followed
  • Complete pre-use inspections before usage of the switcher
  • Complete empty/loaded trailer reports for shipping office
  • Stage trailers, empty or loaded, in Shipping or Receiving dock doors
  • Monitor fuel levels and temperatures of loaded trailers and enter via temperature monitoring log
  • Report any damages on trailers or switchers
  • Maintain cleanliness of all equipment within department
  • All other duties as assigned 

Required Qualifications

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Responsible for some paperwork and other miscellaneous duties
  • Must be dependable and able to work flexible hours
  • Must have a valid drivers license

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous warehousing experience
  • Previous Cargill experience
  • Work history in the past 12 months
