A typical Work Day May Include:
- Operate and monitor milling equipment to meet quality standards for fineness, viscosity, and density.
- Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on degerminators, sifters/reels, filters, hammermills, spouting, and valves.
- Manage tempering and flaking grit production; handle feed bins and finished products.
- Conduct regular rounds to ensure mill balance and clear equipment blockages.
- Perform analytical tests for granulation, viscosity, color, and moisture; adjust equipment as needed.
- Maintain accurate production records and report issues to the Production Supervisor.
- Follow Cargill safety and food safety policies; follow oral and written instructions.
- Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties.
- Report any abnormalities to supervisor.
- Other tasks as assigned.
What You Will Need:
- Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.,with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing,crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic use of computer
- High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
- Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
- Basic mechanical aptitude
What Will Put You Ahead:
- Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklifts, loaders, etc.
- Prior experience in production-related work
- Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
- Manufacturing or machinery experience
