A typical Work Day May Include:

• Operate and monitor milling equipment to meet quality standards for fineness, viscosity, and density.
• Perform routine maintenance and adjustments on degerminators, sifters/reels, filters, hammermills, spouting, and valves.
• Manage tempering and flaking grit production; handle feed bins and finished products.
• Conduct regular rounds to ensure mill balance and clear equipment blockages.
• Perform analytical tests for granulation, viscosity, color, and moisture; adjust equipment as needed.
• Maintain accurate production records and report issues to the Production Supervisor.
• Follow Cargill safety and food safety policies; follow oral and written instructions.
• Perform cleaning and housekeeping duties.
• Report any abnormalities to supervisor.
• Other tasks as assigned.

What You Will Need:

• Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
• Must be 18 years or older
• Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc.,with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE) including a respirator
• Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing,crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
• Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
• Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
• Basic use of computer
• High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience
• Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
• Basic mechanical aptitude

What Will Put You Ahead:

• Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklifts, loaders, etc.
• Prior experience in production-related work
• Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems
• Manufacturing or machinery experience
