To maintain the hatchery facility in a state of optimum cleanliness and to ensure proper egg handling requirements are followed for efficient operation.

Shift: Day
Compensation: $22.00 per hour

Key Accountabilities
- Washing, disinfecting and/or chemically sanitizing all hatchery equipment, floors and walls through the use of high pressure washers, garden hoses and automatic wash machines
- Performing manual cleaning duties as required
- Maintaining care in all egg handling procedures to ensure optimum sanitation and subsequent hatch results
- Wearing and maintaining personal protective equipment
- Maintaining total awareness of and ensures compliance with Occupational Health & Safety Act and Company Health & Safety policies
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Travels with Delivery Drivers as required and assist in the unloading of product at customer facilities
- Ensures strict adherence to bio-security rules and regulations
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
- Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old.
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 40lbs, kneeling, climbing, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- Previous Sanitation Experience
- Previous Production Experience
- High School diploma or Equivalent
