Guelph is a small yet diverse city, centered around its internationally renowned University in a vibrant community of more than 135,000 people. The city is conveniently located 100 kilometers west of Toronto, 45 minutes from Pearson Airport and just east of Kitchener-Waterloo. Guelph is rich in culture, architecture, parks and riverside green spaces, and prides itself on its commitment to environmental responsibility. Guelph has been ranked among the top ten places to live in Canada and was named one of the country's smartest communities and safest cities.
Cargill calls Guelph home to two facilities, a case ready plant and a beef processing plant. Over 1,700 employees contribute to the success of Cargill and the community. The Guelph Cargill Cares council, an employee-led volunteer group, has worked on projects ranging from serving dinners at the Christian Life Centre to donating funds throughout the community. Our employees also come together for an Earth Day clean up annually and can contribute to a company sponsored Employee Giving Campaign which matches their donation to several registered charitable programs such as United Way, Sick Kids, Heart & Stroke and many more. Cargill is one of the top 5 largest employers in Guelph and a proud sponsor of the Multicultural Festival. In 2019, Cargill in Canada was recognized with a Canada’s Top 100 Employer award.
