Guelph Protein Processing Plant

Located in the vibrant city of Guelph, Ontario, home to over 150,000 residents and the internationally recognized University of Guelph, Cargill proudly operates two major facilities: a case-ready meat plant and a beef processing facility. Together, these sites employ more than 1,700 people, making Cargill one of the top five largest employers in Guelph.

Our Guelph operations are driven by a commitment to quality, sustainability, and community. The Cargill Cares Council, an employee-led volunteer group, supports local initiatives such as serving meals at the Christian Life Centre, organizing annual Earth Day cleanups, and contributing to the Employee Giving Campaign, which matches donations to charities like United Way, SickKids, Heart & Stroke, and more.
