This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Process Engineer applies engineering techniques to assist in the improvement of manufacturing processes and products. In this role, you will provide technical support, operations experience, continuous improvement and project management skills in a plant support capacity that ensures safe, efficient and low-cost plant operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Review and recommend manufacturing equipment and processes designed to be efficient, cost-effective, and to promote quality and reliability.
- Assesses current manufacturing equipment and processes and makes recommendations for changes.
- Helps to fix and repair equipment. Shows results in reports.
- Tracks the process and creates recommendations and improvement areas for development of people and process.
- Applies Lean Manufacturing and 6-Sigma Tools
- Applies and tracks Kaizen Methodology such as 5S, Stable Ops, Visual Management etc.
- Develops production operators technically and supports production supervisors for administrative subjects.
- Creates necessary Standard Operation Procedures, Critical Task Procedures and Instruction Documents.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in related fields
- Possesses working knowledge of engineering subject matter
- Minimum of 2 years of related work experience
- Fluent English (written and spoken)
- Upper-intermediate at Microsoft Applications (Excel, PPT, Word etc.)
Preferred Qualifications
- Lean Certification
- Six Sigma Green Belt Certification
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong data analysis capabilities including continuous improvement experience or certifications
- Understanding of PI (data historian), ACAD (auto CAD), MS Project, Enablon etc.
- SAP knowledge
- Process Safety knowledge
