This position is in Cargill’s agricultural supply chain business. We sit at the heart of the supply chain, partnering with farmers and customers to source, make and deliver essential products.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Settlement Support Specialist will support grain settlement activities of the Flex grain settlement process andwill help execute customer service activities that are accounting focused, including preparation of grain settlementdocuments, issuing payments and control and monitoring activities, as well as other related duties. In this role,you will assist in achieving streamlined and optimized internal processes that promote a seamless customerexperience.
Key Accountabilities
- Complete purchase and sale grain accounting transactions timely and accurately processing payments tocustomers and from third parties.
- Follow standard procedures regarding flex settlement transaction processing to complete an order to customerfacing customer service representatives.
- Support simple customer orders to prepare customer communication updates relative to grain settlements, andcustomer mailings.
- Support resolution for administrative or clerical process issues that follow already defined procedures relatedgrain accounting transaction processing, as well as performing control and monitoring functions relative toaccounts payable, accounts receivable including credit, and state & federal warehousing requirements.
- Assist in customer account setup & modification, and cash application, assisting other co-workers as needed, aswell as assisting with special projects as needed.
- Assist in identifying potential obstacles in the flex settlement transaction process and work with multiple thirdparties, origination team members, and customer facing customer service representatives to take correctiveactions as directed.
- Perform compliance and monitoring functions, as the need arises, related to payments and contracts.
- Handle moderately complex clerical, administrative, technical or customer support issues under generalsupervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- High school diploma, secondary education level OR equivalent
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
- Strong computer skills and Microsoft Office experience.
- Able and willing to work weekends.
Preferred Qualifications
- Associates Degree
- Minimum of five years of related work experience
