Job Purpose and Impact

The Automation Electrical and Instrumentation Engineer will apply technical knowledge to design, develop and maintain overall governance on standards, application, gaps, solutions and measurements to increase production quality, efficiency and volume for the business. In this role, you will perform day-to-day activities related to automation, electrical and instrumentation engineering to enable projects/plant performance

Key Accountabilities

•    Apply general knowledge of principles, terms, and practices of automation, electrical and instrumentation engineering to support safe and reliable operations.
•    Coordinate and provide direct support to day-2-day operations.
•    Responsible for implementing site-specific AEI reliability excellence strategies.
•    Execute and support automation, electrical and instrumentation engineering standards and deliverables in capital projects.
•    Responsible for AEI regulatory and risk management (i.e. FM global, SD Myers, GRC etc.) inspections and deliverables

•    Implement, monitor and track audit control mechanisms within area of scope to track performance and provide actionable solutions that contribute to improvements. 
•    Develop, manage and execute annual AEI shutdown strategies and plans

•    Support, analyze and develop conclusions regarding areas of improvement and identify opportunities to improve performance and determine acceptable risk tolerance.
•    Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff/OEM for a resolution.
•    Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
• Minimum of two years of related work experience

Preferred Qualifications

• Intermediate project management skills
• Strong technical and mathematical skills
• Demonstrated working knowledge of technical standards, principles, theories, concepts and techniques

Position information:

• Relocation will be provided for this position
• Work schedule: Mon – Fri: Dayshift working 8 – 10 hrs. a day | occasional weekend and nightwork
• Position is based in Newark, CA

The expected salary for this position is $105K- $135K. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
