Environmental Health and Safety Associate:
We are looking for motivated, curious, and driven individuals who want to learn, grow, and take on meaningful challenges from day one. As an Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) Associate, you will work alongside experienced professionals while leading projects that improve workplace safety, environmental performance, and regulatory compliance.
This is more than an entry-level role. You will have the opportunity to develop technical expertise, influence operations, and build leadership skills while working in a dynamic manufacturing environment. You will be trusted with real responsibilities and supported by a team committed to your growth and development.
Your Work:
As an EHS Associate, you will support and lead initiatives that help create a safer and more sustainable workplace. You will partner with operations, maintenance, leadership, and employees to solve challenges and drive continuous improvement.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Leading projects that improve safety, environmental performance, and operational excellence.
- Building and maintaining emergency response programs, coordinating drills, and helping ensure site readiness.
- Developing and delivering engaging training programs that help employees work safely and confidently.
- Participating in incident investigations to identify deep causes, implement corrective actions, and prevent recurrence.
- Supporting company audits, government inspections, and customer visits.
- Using data and analytics to identify trends, measure performance, and drive improvements.
- Partnering with contractors and service providers to ensure safe work practices and effective risk controls.
- Implementing programs and processes that identify hazards and reduce risk across the facility.
- Working with experienced EHS professionals who will mentor and support your development.
- Contributing to a culture where everyone goes home safe, every day.

- Must be willing to work in a plant environment
Required Qualifications:
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Pursing a Bachelors or Master’s degree in engineering, ergonomics/human factors, occupational safety, environmental sciences, fire safety, safety, or related degree graduating between December 2026 and May 2027
- Must be geographically flexible and willing to relocate to either Butler, WI, Friona, TX, Blair, NE or Hutchinson, KS
- Proven ability to work optimally with individuals from a diverse set of backgrounds and cultures
- Must possess a high degree of initiative and resourcefulness in completing work with limited guidance
Preferred Qualifications:
- Knowledge of food safety standards
- Knowledge of science and math
- Communication skills, both written and oral
- Basic discernment for business processes
- Build and collaborate on processes, fully utilizing company resources
- Contribute, as a team member and individual
Key Behaviors:

- Lead and make sense of sophisticated, high-quantity, and sometimes contradictory, information to seek problems
- Environmental Health & Safety track with demonstrated leadership experience in this area.
