Job Purpose and Impact
Join Cargill in Florø (Cargill/EWOS), one of the largest and most advanced fish feed production facilities. The plant produces high-quality, technologically advanced feed for the aquaculture industry, primarily serving salmon and rainbow trout farming, supported by modern manufacturing processes, advanced control systems, and cutting-edge equipment.
The Maintenance Manager plays a critical leadership role in delivering safe, reliable and cost-effective operations through World Class Maintenance (WCM) principles and reliability excellence. This position will lead the site's journey to a proactive, planned and reliability-centered maintenance organization. The Maintenance Manager will champion maintenance excellence, asset integrity, continuous improvement and operational discipline to maximize equipment availability, optimize maintenance costs and support sustainable production performance.
Leading a team of maintenance professionals, the Maintenance Manager will collaborate closely with Production, Engineering, EHS, contractors and regional reliability teams to establish a high-performing maintenance culture where preventive and predictive maintenance, root cause problem solving and continuous improvement are embedded in daily operations. The role requires a strong focus on safety, people development and operational excellence, while driving best practices, standardization and long-term asset reliability aligned with business objectives.
Key Accountabilities
• Lead and continuously improve the site maintenance strategy, implementing World Class Maintenance (WCM) and reliability-centered maintenance practices to drive a proactive maintenance culture and optimize asset performance.
• Ensure safe, reliable and compliant operation of critical assets, including development and execution of equipment strategies for high-hazard processes in accordance with regulatory and company standards.
• Drive maintenance excellence through performance management, utilizing KPIs, root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives to improve equipment reliability, availability and cost efficiency.
• Lead maintenance planning, scheduling and resource optimization, ensuring safe and effective execution of maintenance activities, effective contractor managment and alignment with production priorities.
• Partner with site, regional and global stakeholders to implement leading maintenance practices, manage maintenance budgets and support long-term asset reliability, operational performance and business objectives.
• Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
• Relevant bachelor's degree, trade certification, or equivalent experience.
• 4+ years of maintenance experience in manufacturing, process industry, or similar environments, including leadership experience.
• Experience in maintenance and reliability programs, including maintenance planning, asset management, preventive and predictive maintenance, root cause analysis (RCA), and maintenance management systems (SAP/CMMS).
• Experience collaborating with contractors and external service providers.
• Strong communication skills in English; Norwegian language skills are an advantage.
• Demonstrated ability to lead, develop and engage maintenance teams in a high-performance manufacturing environment.
