Process Improvement Engineer
Job Purpose and Impact
Within the Cocoa Zaandam site (Aurora & Jonker), the Process Improvement Engineer will plan, support, and where applicable, execute engineering deliverables across one or more core technology or engineering areas. We seek a professional who will develop and apply engineering standards and procedures, providing expert advice on issues within the engineering field.
Key Accountabilities
- Plan, design and estimate time and cost, overseeing construction and maintenance of structures, facilities, systems and components.
- Analyze and develop solutions to engineering problems related to manufacturing equipment and systems or the causes of component failures.
- Design and improve manufacturing processes, instruments and equipment, testing manufactured products to maintain quality.
- Build, maintain, and prioritize a pipeline of continuous improvement projects to support operational excellence and business objectives.
- Drive delivery of TMO targets through effective identification, execution, and tracking of improvement initiatives.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Dutch.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with Office, SEEQ, PI, and RTDuet.
- Strong analytical mindset and interest in data-driven improvement projects.
- Knowledge of Lean methodology and continuous improvement tools.
- Experience in manufacturing process optimization and performance improvement is preferred.
