Location

This role is based at Cargill's Global Headquarters in Wayzata, Minnesota and currently offers a hybrid work environment with a minimum of four (4) days in office and up to one (1) day remote each week.

Job Purpose and Impact

As a Corporate Strategy Senior Associate at Cargill, you will be an integral part of the Corporate Strategy team, working with senior leadership to develop world class actionable strategy and execute transformative initiatives for various businesses of Cargill. In this role, you will require a blend of problem-solving and thought leadership, communication and stakeholder management, and project and workstream management skills.

Key Accountabilities

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to think critically and strategically. Structure complex business problems, conduct quantitative and qualitative analysis, generate and synthesize findings, and recommend solutions.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to articulate complex ideas clearly and concisely to senior leaders.
  • Develop trust-based relationships with stakeholders from different businesses, including senior executives, commercial teams, and functional teams.
  • Independently lead project workstreams, ensuring timely delivery of milestones and high-quality outputs.
  • Coach and mentor junior colleagues, fostering their professional development and ensuring productive team dynamics.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum requirement of 4 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 5 years or more of relevant experience.

  • Bachelor’s degree from a top-tier university, with academic excellence or equivalent experience.

  • Advanced degree (MBA or equivalent) from a top-tier institution, with academic excellence.

  • Experience in strategy development across growth and transformation topics.

  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling and corporate finance.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 2-3+ years experience in top-tier consulting firms and strong performance track-record.

  • Experience in the agricultural, food, or commodities sectors is a plus.

Compensation Data

The expected salary for this position is $160,000 - $180,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
