Principal Accountabilities:
- Inspect, maintain, and repair surface mobile equipment including loaders, forklifts, trucks, service vehicles, and support equipment
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on hoists, winches, and associated mechanical, hydraulic, and electrical systems
- Maintain and repair material handling systems including conveyors, belts, pulleys, gearboxes, bins, chutes, pumps, crushers, and screens
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical faults and complete repairs including component replacement, adjustments, and rebuilds
- Operate forklifts and mobile lifts from designated locations with little variation
- Perform welding, cutting, and light fabrication on carbon steel and stainless steel for guards, supports, and equipment repairs
- Safely operate equipment to test functionality, reposition machinery, and verify completed repairs
- Conduct routine inspections and report unsafe conditions or equipment deficiencies
- Read and interpret manuals, schematics, work orders, and maintenance documentation
- Coordinate with operations, contractors, and maintenance team members to minimize downtime
- Understanding and adhering to all safety policies and procedures
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned
Required Qualifications:
- Must be eligible to work in the US without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- Basic use of a computer
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Mechanical maintenance experience in industrial, mining, or heavy equipment environments
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years of equivalent work experience
- Welding experience and strong troubleshooting skills
- Experience with material handling systems and mobile equipment
