Job Purpose and Impact

The Supply Planner supports the development and execution of production and supply plans for assigned products, production lines or locations. The role helps balance customer demand, inventory levels, material availability and production capacity to support service, operational efficiency and business objectives.

Working closely with Production Planning, Materials Planning, Customer Service, Logistics, Warehousing, and other Supply Chain teams, the Supply Planner monitors supply requirements, maintains planning data, identifies potential supply risks and supports the implementation of planning activities to help ensure the efficient flow of products through the supply chain.

Key Accountabilities

• Support the preparation, development, and maintenance of master production plans for assigned products, production lines, or locations.
• Prepare and review planning inputs, including demand forecasts, inventory levels, material availability, production capacity, open orders, planned downtime, and operational constraints.
• Monitor short-term supply requirements and identify potential risks such as material shortages, excess inventory, service impacts, or capacity constraints.
• Ensure FSQR (Food Safety, Quality, and Regulatory) requirements are incorporated into production sequencing and scheduling activities.
• Support execution of planning activities, including schedule updates, supply plan adjustments, inventory reviews, order prioritization, and stakeholder communication.
• Collaborate with Production Planning, Materials Planning, Customer Service, Logistics, Warehousing, and other Supply Chain teams to help maintain effective operational flow and customer service levels.
• Maintain accurate planning data, reports, and system records to support decision-making, performance monitoring, and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Resolve routine planning issues using established processes and escalate more complex matters when appropriate.
• Contribute to additional projects and activities that support broader Supply Chain objectives.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

• Demonstrated work experience in Supply Chain Planning, such as Production Planning, Material Planning, or a related field.
• Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills.
• Ability to analyze information and support decision-making.
• A proactive approach to managing priorities and supporting operational goals.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working with MRP and/or ERP systems, such as SAP.
• Knowledge of supply planning, inventory management or production planning processes.
