Job Purpose and Impact
The Associate Professional, Social Impact job supports the execution of a comprehensive communication strategy that highlights and promotes the measurable and qualitative effects that the organization has on society and the environment through campaigns and partnerships. Under close supervision, this job supports routine activities, helps raise awareness, engage partners, and drives action towards the organization's social impact goals.
Key Accountabilities
- CONTENT CREATION: Assists in creating compelling social impact content for various communication channels to reach and connect with diverse audiences, amplify the organization's message, and make a significant impact on selected social issues.
- COLLABORATION: Supports collaboration with cross functional teams related to sustainability, government affairs, and community relations, as well as external partners like non governmental organizations to help align messaging, ensure consistent communication across channels, and amplify the organization's social impact messaging to optimally engage partners.
- DATA LEVERAGING: Supports the leveraging of social impact data such as the number of people positively affected, carbon emissions, renewable energy usage, improvement in community wellbeing, storylines and personal narratives to use in the development of briefings, talking points, key messages, and other communication materials.
- QUALITATIVE ANALYSIS: Assists with the analysis of qualitative data to gain insights into recurring themes in narratives, emotions, and values to help tailor social impact communications that resonate with the target audience, identify success stories and lessons learned, and ultimately encourage action.
- CAMPAIGN PERFORMANCE: Supports the monitoring and evaluation of social impact campaign performance by tracking metrics, such as reach, engagement, conversions, and brand sentiment, to propose opportunities to optimize the strategy and improve results.
- COMMUNITY EVENTS: Manages the planning and execution of social impact and community events, webinars, and workshops to serve as a motivation for knowledge sharing, collaboration, community involvement, inspiration, and amplification of social impact messages.
Qualifications
- No minimum years of relevant experience required. Typically reflects 2 years or more of relevant experience.
