This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Job Purpose and Impact

The Sales Account Manager will participate in face to face and remote selling to the company's new and existing customers, selling directly or indirectly through various sales channels. In this role, you will help assess customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions. This position is in Cargill’s Food North America Retail Sales organization supporting the Water Quality salt business

Key Accountabilities

  • Development and delivery of sales proposals and conducting detailed presentations for effective product demonstration achieving sales targets by both managing assigned accounts and bringing on new accounts
  • Build a business plan for each account developing strong client relationships. Closely monitor the customer relationship for continuous value creation and optimization.
  • Plan daily activities, including customer visits and establish quantitative and qualitative objectives to achieve.
  • Follow market and competition evolution, relaying information to senior staff.
  • Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent work experience 
  • Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience.
  • Ability to travel in assigned geography – up to 30% (overnight travel and occasional weekend) 
  • Driver's license in good standing
  • Proficiency with MS Tools (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc) 
  • CRM experience (Salesforce or related systems)

Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous sales experience
  • Demonstrated negotiation and value-based sales skills
  • Bilingual (English - Spanish speaking)

    Locations: This position is open in any location within these states, FL, GA, SC, AL, TN.  Florida being the preferred location
