This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Senior Master Production Planner will convert the long-term monthly supply plan into a midterm weekly plan to facilitate material requirements planning and near-term staffing activities. In this role, you will handle multiple product lines or sites with medium to high impact on working capital and ensure the connection between integrated business planning activities and tactical production execution.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide direct input to setting master production planning metrics targets.
- Solidify procurement of raw material and provide input to supply planner to support integrated business planning.
- Maintain data relevant to master production planning activities including planning calendars, material data and location data.
- Analyze plant capacity and production requisition data to resolve manufacturing plans and required resources.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.
- Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Diploma/Certificate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of four years in production planning, supply chain, operations or related work experience
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada
Preferred Qualifications
- Significant experience in master production planning, production scheduling or supply planning
- Expert Excel working experience
- SAP experience
