Warehouse Supervisor (Ingredient)
Job Purpose and Impact
The Warehouse Supervisor is responsible for overseeing all inbound and outbound warehouse operations at the feed mill plant, including the ingredient warehouse and finished goods distribution. This role ensures efficient receiving, storage, inventory control, picking, packing, and shipping processes while maintaining compliance with safety and quality standards. The supervisor leads a team to meet operational goals and supports cross-functional coordination with procurement, production, and logistics.
Key Accountabilities
• Supervise daily operations of both ingredient and finished goods warehouses.
• Oversee receiving, inspection, and storage of raw materials and ingredients.
• Ensure accurate picking, packing, and loading of finished products for distribution.
• Maintain inventory accuracy through regular cycle counts and reconciliation.
• Shrink Management according to the standards
• Coordinate with procurement and production teams to ensure timely material availability.
• Implement and enforce warehouse safety, hygiene, and regulatory compliance.
• Train and certify staff on equipment such as forklifts and pallet jacks.
• Monitor and report on warehouse KPIs including inventory aging, order accuracy, and turnaround time.
• Lead and develop warehouse staff, including hiring, performance management, and scheduling.
• Participate in hands-on warehouse tasks as needed.
• Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
• Bachelor’s degree in a related field, or equivalent experience.
• Minimum 5-7 year of experience in warehouse or distribution operations and 3 years working as warehouse Supervisor or similar.
• Experience in feed mill or agricultural supply chain environments is plus
• Familiarity with inventory systems and warehouse management software, Forklift operations, Supervisory experience in a warehouse setting.
• Experienced in SAP, PowerBI
Preferred Qualifications
• Forklift operations or experience operating warehouse equipment.
• Experience in feed mill or agricultural supply chain environments.
• Supervisory experience in a warehouse setting.
• Knowledge of food safety and feed ingredient handling standards.
