Location: Georgetown, ON
Job type: Full time

Shift available: Night Shift 
Compensation: $25.05/hr; plus a shift differential of $0.50 shift 


Principal Accountabilities:

  • Follow all Food Safety (HACCP), GMP’s, WHMIS, Occupational Health and Safety, and Environmental programs.
  • Communicate with the Operator 1 and Material Handlers to instruct and prioritize the daily tasks within the department, as per the Batching Schedule.
  • Monitor grinding systems, quality testing and control parameters and make adjustments to batches as necessary.  
  • Record data as required on Batch sheets, SAP and excel work sheet.  Complete End of Shift Report.
  • Clean equipment, magnets and filters in designated areas, as per cleaning schedules.
  • Forklift and pallet truck duties, training will be provided on site.
  • Fill in for other department jobs as required (Operator 1 or Batcher), including overtime coverage, modified shifts and weekend shifts as needed.
  • Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment with minimal Supervision
  • Time management, organizational skills, and prioritization are essential to this job description.
  • Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned


Required Qualifications:

  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada 
  • Cargill requires that employees be a minimum of 18 years old
  • High school diploma or GED
  • Must have keyboarding skills for data inputting
  • Three to five years related food manufacturing experience and/or training
  • Ability to understand and communicate effectively in English (verbal/written)
  • Strong mathematical skills
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 55 lbs, kneeling, climbing and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
  • Ability to operate machinery or industrial equipment
  • Ability to work in various temperature environments
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts.


Preferred Qualifications:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft office software, with an emphasis on Excel and Word. 
  • Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP
  • Previous Leadership experience
  • Forklift experience
  • Able to perform basic maintenance trades
