Job Purpose and Impact

We are seeking a domain-savvy Consultant – Data Analytics & Reporting - Ag & Trading with expertise in cargo analytics, vessel operations, and commodity trading to join our Gurgaon-based team. This role is ideal for professionals with 3–7 years of experience in maritime analytics and reporting. You will work independently with general supervision, delivering actionable insights and dashboards that support strategic decisions in the ocean transportation and vessel trading space.

Key Accountabilities

Cargo & Vessel Analytics: Analyze vessel movements, cargo flows, and trading patterns to support operational and commercial decision-making.
Domain Expertise:Leverage deep understanding of vessel classes, fixtures, and ocean transportation to interpret data and generate relevant insights.
Reporting & Visualization: Design and deliver dashboards and reports using tools like Power BI or Tableau to communicate trends and performance metrics.
Data Integrity: Collaborate with digital and data engineering teams to ensure accuracy and consistency of maritime and trading data.Process Optimization:Identify opportunities to improve data collection and reporting processes specific to vessel and commodity trading operations.
Stakeholder Collaboration: Work closely with commercial, operations, and logistics teams to align analytics with business goals.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Maritime Studies, Logistics, Commerce, Engineering, or a related field.
    24 years of experience in cargo analytics, vessel domain, or commodity trading analytics.
    Strong knowledge of vessel class families, fixtures, and ocean transportation operations.
    Proficiency in data visualization tools (e.g., Power BI, Tableau).
    Familiarity with maritime data sources and trading platforms.
    Excellent analytical, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
