Hazleton Protein Processing Plant

The city of Hazleton is the hub of the thriving Greater Hazleton area. Cargill, one of the largest employers in the region, proudly employs approximately 800 people. We produce ground beef, whole muscle beef (steaks, roasts, etc.), and pork products that are sold at grocery stores across the U.S.

At Cargill, we believe in giving back. Our employees actively contribute their time and financial resources to the community through programs such as the United Way of Greater Hazleton, where we were the top contributor for employee donations three years in a row. In addition to the United Way, our employees have supported the Hazleton Animal Shelter, the Hazleton Public Library, the Hazleton Integration Project, the Hazleton Blind Association, and many other churches and charitable organizations.
