Principal Accountabilities 

  • Operate and maintain wastewater treatment equipment and systems
  • Monitor and adjust treatment processes to ensure optimal performance
  • Conduct routine inspections and preventive maintenance on mechanical equipment
  • Collect and analyze water samples to ensure compliance with regulatory standards
  • Accurate and timely documentation on testing, calibrations, and chemical adjustments
  • Maintain open lines of communication with the POTW on issues, modifications, and documentation as required
  • Troubleshoot and repair mechanical issues as they arise
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure smooth and efficient plant operations
  • Performing other duties assigned
  • Operating mobile power equipment
  • Keeping track of chemical inventories
  • Ability to work alone with minimal supervision
  • Must display attention to detail, be highly motivated and possess initiative to be proactive
  • Cleanliness and housekeeping
  • Must currently have strong oral and written communication skills dealing with suppliers and contractors


Required Qualifications 

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to read, write, and speak English fluently
  • Must have basic math skills
  • Ability to read & interpret mechanical drawings
  • Previous electrical troubleshooting
  • 1+ year(s) of experience using hand tools and maintenance troubleshooting equipment
  • 1+ year(s) of experience working in an industrial maintenance field
  • Wastewater training and/or certificate will need to be achieved
  • Availability to work holidays and/or overtime as needed; must be flexible as work schedule may vary according to plant needs


Preferred Qualifications

  • Previous air compressor/pneumatic system experience or education
  • Previous fluid pump experience or education
  • Previous Municipal or Industrial Wastewater Treatment Plant operator experience
  • Previous experience using lab testing equipment
  • Industrial Building Maintenance
  • 1+ years of experience working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment
  • Basic computer skills
  • SAP Experience
  • 1+ year(s) of experience troubleshooting electrical and mechanical issues on industrial wastewater equipment
