This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Sr. Sales Account Manager will develop customer sales strategies and build relationships based on the company's values. In this role, you will sell industry leading solutions and mentor team members with your expertise. Having great communication skills along with being able to multitask is very important with a business environment that is fluid and market driven. Individual will also collaborate closely with our AR team, transportation team, operations team, along with other internal stakeholders. Having the right behaviors is very important to balance these complexities in a constructive manner. This position is part of the Protein Sales Team, located in Fort Worth, TX and will be supporting Texas and neighboring states.
Key Accountabilities
- Align with customer partners to provide protein goods to customers in the Texas market including neighboring states, while keeping face to face interaction with current customers and prospects.
- Develop a plan to establish and maintain account relationships and meet personal sales targets.
- Build a business plan for each account.
- Coordinate the use of resources provided by the organization and fellow team members, including but no limited to changes in the marketplace, changes in customer behavior, and competitive intel, to provide value added services to accounts.
- Develop strong client relationships that provide significant input to planning, product, price and service strategies, while also nurture customer relationships while utilizing the Cargill Sales Framework, and other business systems, including logging customer interactions and activities on Salesforce.
- Support sales leadership and other sales professionals in developing new market opportunities in the designated territory or market.
- Contribute to the team by advancing objectives that drive the team’s overall success.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Minimum of four years of related work experience
- Proven negotiation and selling skills and experience
- Valid driver's license in good standing
- Strong business acumen with a deep understanding of the sales process and its influence on revenue and growth
- Proficient with Microsoft Office
Preferred Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field
- Bilingual in English & Spanish or Vietnamese or Mandarin
- SAP experience
- Protein trading experience
- Data analytics experience
- Salesforce experience
