Laboratory Analyst

This position is in our specialized portfolio enterprise where we serve diverse businesses who support unique customers or markets, including animal nutrition and health, bioindustrial, road safety salt and Cargill joint ventures.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Laboratory Analyst I, will work with related databases, coordinate data and validate calibrations against laboratory data to support the laboratory analytics systems. In this role, you will work on continuous improvement efforts, facilitate best practices and global alignment projects and provide support for assigned teams, operations, customers or other functional areas where needed.
Temporary position until October 2027.
Key Accountabilities
- Coordinate and maintain accurate records of the database in accordance with laboratory analytics guidelines and standards.
- Perform and prioritize routine data validations and coordinate requests, processes and documents.
- Perform basic data verification and quality nonconformance tracking to ensure all processes run efficiently.
- Support sites with basic troubleshooting and expertise on instrument operation and maintenance, software operation and data transfer practices.
- Provide support on laboratory analytics quality programs by analyzing the data received from the analysis and build standard reports from databases to meet specified needs.
- Collaborate with regional plants that participate in laboratory analytics programs and follow up on actions and improvements.
- Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Advanced skills with spreadsheet or other analyzation tools
- Experience with databases, troubleshooting problems, analyzing information and designing reports
Preferred Qualifications
- Good understanding of quality management systems and customer quality management programs
- Experience with laboratory analysis software
