Job Purpose and Impact
The Treasury Advisory Group Consultant will provide treasury financial advisory services for defined regional business groups and strategic analytical support to the leadership team. In this role, you will provide advanced knowledge and thought leadership to contribute to the development of new principles, theories, concepts, techniques, industry practices and standards and strategic projects across the company.
In addition to this, the Treasury Advisor will take formal responsibility for the Treasury operations of the Luxembourg holding and funding companies, in coordination with company stakeholders.
Key Accountabilities
- Provide expert financial modeling and advisory services to senior management on diverse and complex issues.
- Advise on the design of financial policies and procedures within the organization and provide advisory services to ensure compliance with these policies.
- Serve as a strategic partner for the business conducting mergers, acquisition, divestitures and joint venture activities by applying expert knowledge in your field.
- Advise the business to help navigate through complex financial markets, funding, foreign exchange and ways to minimize financial risks.
- Build and foster banking relationships with key partners in the involved region.
- Manage the Luxembourg funding and investment book.
- Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 10 years or more of relevant experience.
Preferred Qualifications
- Master's degree or other post-secondary degree
- A deep understanding of core Treasury competencies such as foreign exchange, funding, cash management etc
- Confirmed experience in treasury financial advisory services, including banking and insurance
- Experience handling treasury aspects of mergers and acquisitions
- Fluent in English, French as additional preferred
