Sr. Estate Manager
Job Purpose and Impact
The Sr. Estate Manager position responsible for the profitable and efficient management of estate operations, including nursery management, land clearing, planting, field maintenance, harvesting, transportation, and the maintenance of estate and emplacement infrastructure.
Key Accountabilities
- Contribute to the company’s development of innovations, long term strategies, objectives and plans.
- Develop and strengthen working relationships with other departments and peers at other group companies.
- Develop and recommend strategies the operating and capital budgets for the estate to Estate Operation Director.
- Responsible for ensuring the estate site produces high quality fresh fruit bunches and the target harvest yield.
- Implement the budget within agreed financial, physical, time, quality, and efficiency parameter.
- Manage the estate to ensure targets are achieved through efficient use of human, financial, physical and information resources.
- Lead the estate team and maintenance productive working relationships and team spirit in the estate and with other estates.
- Ensure that the estate is efficiently manned and supervised to ensure maximum production and the cost-effective completion of work program to required standards.
- Accountable for tactical execution in programs in alignment with Corporate Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) and Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory (FSQR) functions as well as government regulations at the Estate level.
- Lead and develop a team, coach, and make decisions related to talent management, hiring, performance, and disciplinary actions.
Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Diploma III or Bachelor’s degree of Agriculture, in a related field or equivalent experience.
- Minimum 4 years of relevant working experience in estate operations, plantation management, or a related field.
- Experience in budgeting, cost control, and operational planning.
- Experience working in an estate environment with strong safety standards. Knowledge of ISO, RSPO, and ISCC standards, as well as maintenance planning and scheduling, will be an advantage.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Two years of supervisory experience
- Professional proficiency in written and spoken English.
