Job Purpose and Impact
The Professional, Application Development job maintains, integrates and implements software applications within the organization. With limited supervision, this job performs moderately complex software application testing, quality assurance, configuration, installation and support to ensure smooth, stable and timely implementation of new software and updates to installed applications. This role specifically supports Tax & Compliance applications—primarily OSGT (Brazil)—and ensures effective integration and data flows with ERP systems such as SAP and JD Edwards (JDE). The Professional will ensure best‑in‑class communication with users to capture requirements and integrate tax system changes on time and in scope, with ownership of updates across OSGT and its interfaces with SAP/JDE.
Location: São Paulo / Brazil - Position Hibrid (2 X per week at the office)
Key Accountabilities
- APPLICATION CONFIGURATION MANAGEMENT: Sets up and maintains application configurations to meet user and business requirements while developing and recommending improvements to standard and moderately complex application support processes and procedures.
- APPLICATION DEVELOPMENT & DEPLOYMENT: Performs programming, configuration, parametrization, testing and deployment of fixes or updates for application version releases.
- USER COMMUNICATION & SUPPORT: Keeps an open channel of communication with users and responds to standard and moderately complex application support requests and needs.
- Ensure effective user communication to successfully integrate changes in tax systems on time and in scope, with primary ownership of updates in OSGT (Brazil).
- Lead communication plans with business and technical stakeholders to capture requirements, validate impacts, and orchestrate timely deployments in OSGT and related tax applications
- APPLICATION SUPPORT: Conducts advanced and complex application support activities to deliver business outcomes.
- STAKEHOLDER MANAGEMENT: Works with multi-functional teams, including developers, product managers and business partners to ensure configurations align with standards and project goals.
- INCIDENT & REQUEST MANAGEMENT: Reviews, analyzes and prioritizes incoming incident tickets and user requests.
- VENDOR MANAGEMENT: Handles positive relationships with software vendors and negotiates contracts incollaboration with area leaders, ensuring that technical functionalities are correctly applied within the system.
Qualifications
- Minimum requirement of 2 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 3 years or more of relevant experience.
- Knowledge and proficiency in the OSGT tool used in Brazil for managing import and export processes.
- High-level knowledge of applications that manage taxes in Brazil.
- Strong understanding of customs and tax regulations applicable in LATAM-Brazil.
- Analytical skills, results-oriented mindset, and ability to work under pressure.
- Intermediate to advanced English (preferred).
