Job Description
Bagging operators at the Cargill Salt Facility are expected to perform the job safely and efficiently. The bagging operator will spend the majority of their time as a bagging operator, but the expectation is that they will pursue adequate time/training in order to maintain their skill level as a warehouse operator.

Available Shifts: 2nd
Compensation: $20 /hr with $0.65 shift differential
Sign on Bonus: $1,000
Key Accountabilities
- Safely and efficiently operate equipment at site, including but not limited to packaging equipment, shipping computers, and pallet inverters.
- Safely operate motorized vehicles used to move or lift products, equipment, or materials within and around plant.
- Minor maintenance and troubleshooting of equipment.
- Operate computers to check production orders/schedule, print shipping paperwork and labels.
- Input production into computer accurately
- Housekeeping tasks.
- Support a culture of Zero Harm by following safety and environmental practices.
- Assist in training new employees.
- Comply with corporate policies and procedures related to Environment, Health and Safety (EHS) and Feed Safety risks associated with products
- Support a culture of zero fatality, injury and illness.
- Understand and proactively avoid environmental impact and potential risk to the businesses.
- Perform general tasks around plant with minimal supervision.
Qualifications
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer.
- Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility.
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written) .
- Basic use of a computer.
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above).
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work overtime, weekends, and holidays with advance notice.
Preferred:
- Forklift certified.
- High school diploma/GED or two years of equivalent experience.
- Have at least 1 year of experience in production related work.
- Able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment with or without reasonable accommodation.
- Basic experience troubleshooting various mechanical components and systems.
