The Shipper-Receiver Operator will perform various warehouse tasks and operate warehouse equipment per documentation and an should have understanding of warehouse processes and procedures, with regular guidance. In this role you will support efficient and safe operations.

Compensation: $32.14/hr

Key Accountabilities
- Operate the forklift in a SAFE and appropriate manner.
- Ship feed orders in a safe, accurate and timely fashion, ensuring orders are correctly labeled and pre papered shipping documents are accurate for each load.
- Receive goods in a safe, accurate and timely fashion, while ensuring goods are in acceptable condition and the count is correct and documentation is present and accurate (IF RECEIVING is REQUIRED)
- Rotate stock and ensure maximum space usage.
- Assist with semi annual inventory; ensuring count is correct and documentation is legible and accurate.
- Be aware of when production runs will be available checking with Production Plan.
- Sort empty pallets into their proper categories when required.
- Repair and re-stack damaged feed when required.
- Ensure shipping forklift is washed as necessary.
- Be able to use Label Printers and computer whenever necessary for re-labeling and/or customer address labeling.
- Do an inspection on forklift daily and filling out pertinent forms.
- Handle waste material when required in neat and orderly fashion.
- Report immediately any equipment problems and/or safety concerns to Direct Supervisor and Manager.
- Report immediately any quality problem relating to incoming ingredients and fish feed shipments to Manager. It may also include improperly stacked pallets, wrapping, labeling and damaged product, or repair/re-stack of pallets of ingredients/feeds (IF APPLICABLE).
- Do other duties as necessary to achieve maximum efficiency in the plant.
- Sweep up daily the warehouses and keep all warehouse/shipping areas in a clean and orderly fashion.
Qualifications
Required Qualifications:
- Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada.
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation.
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Experience operating mobile equipment such as forklift
- Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
- High School degree or equivalent
- Computer literacy including being able to enter and retrieve data and working knowledge of Microsoft Office software with emphasis on Excel and word
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), such as SAP
- Experience with Inventory Systems
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
- Experience in production-related work
