Location

This role is based at Cargill's Global Headquarters in Wayzata, Minnesota and currently offers a hybrid work environment with a minimum of four (4) days in office and up to one (1) day remote each week.

Job Purpose and Impact

  • The Advisor, Corporate Strategy Manager consults corporate and business unit leaders in developing corporate and business strategies that drive long term value creation. As a recognized subject matter authority in this field, this job reviews and evaluates business and function portfolio performance assessment, market and competitive trends analyses and growth opportunity identification. This job develops highly complex strategic insights, recommendations, investment cases and associated financial and execution plans to enable strategic decision making.

Key Accountabilities

  • STRATEGIC ANALYSIS & SCENARIO DEVELOPMENT: Structures highly complex business problems, develops and refines hypotheses and conducts qualitative and quantitative analyses to address critical strategic questions and guide decision making.
  • PORTFOLIO & PERFORMANCE ASSESSMENT: Assesses and reviews industry structure, business models, profit drivers and organizational dynamics to synthesize performance insights that inform strategic priorities.
  • STRATEGIC RECOMMENDATIONS & VALUE CREATION: Develops strategic recommendations to capture identified strategic opportunities, including acquisitions and divestitures, ensuring recommendations linked to financial plans and execution plans, including acquisition gameboards, for value creation.
  • STAKEHOLDER ENGAGEMENT & ALIGNMENT: Partners collaboratively with senior stakeholders and cross functional teams to align priorities, coordinate execution and achieve strategic and operational objectives.
  • WORK PLANNING & DELIVERY: Plans and implements highly complex project workstreams and prioritizes resources to deliver strategic insights and recommendations as aligned while advancing team technical capabilities.
  • LEADERSHIP COMMUNICATION & STRATEGIC SYNTHESIS: Develops and presents clear, concise written and verbal communications of project workstreams analyses, findings and recommendations to enable informed decision making.

Qualifications

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 8 years or more of relevant experience.
  • Experience in strategy development across growth and transformation topics.
  • Strong knowledge of financial modeling and corporate finance.
  • Ability to work onsite in Wayzata, Minnesota.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Masters in Business Administration or equivalent Masters Degree.
  • Two years of supervisory experience.
  • 3+ years of experience in top-tier consulting firm and strong performance track-record.
  • Experience in the agricultural, food or commodities sectors is a plus.

Compensation Data

The expected salary for this position is $165,000 - $220,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
