Job Purpose and Impact
The Extruder will operate production or warehouse machines that are either non-similar or require moderate set up and machine adjustments, perform maintenance and troubleshoot machine issues, understanding policy and procedures with regular guidance. In this role, you will maximize throughput and produce quality product while following all food safety and regulatory polices as required.
Job Type: Full Time
Shift(s) Available: Day and Night
Compensation: $26.00/hr.
Night Shift differential: $0.75/hr

Key Accountabilities
- Extrude quality product in an efficient manner, inspecting every 30 minutes
- Conduct and document quality in-process checks
- Ensure proper additive ingredients are being used and applied at the specified rates
- Set-up die plates and knife heads
- Minimize start-up and change-over times working as efficiently as possible
- Communicate with batching and meat room operators with understanding of product flow
- Keeping working area and extrusion line clean and orderly
- Assist in weekly sanitation of equipment
- Transfer responsibilities from shift to shift
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations.
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment.
- Other duties as assigned
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
- Must be 18 years or older
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
- Must be able to operate machinery and/or industrial equipment
- Ability to understand and communicate in English(verbal/written)
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Basic use of a computer
- Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
- 1 year experience in production related work
Preferred Qualifications:
- Maintenance Background experience
- High School diploma or Equivalent work experience
- Any extrusion experience or Food Extrusion preferred
