This position is in our Ag & Trading enterprise, where we connect producers and users of grains and oilseeds around the globe through origination, trading, processing, and distribution. We also offer a range of farmer services and risk management solutions. 

Job Purpose and Impact

The Crop Inputs Associate, will sell directly to the company's grower customers or indirectly through various sales channels. In this role, you will help identify and contact prospective grower customers, building relationships to generate future sales and repeat business, participate in assessing grower customer needs and suggest appropriate products, services and solutions.

Key Accountabilities

  • With supervision, help identify, develop and close new sales.
  • Help support business growth by disseminating information that favorably promotes the organization and its products and services.
  • Help monitor customer and competitor activity and industry trends.
  • With supervision, coordinate market research, pricing and sales and merchandising activities.
  • Participate in regular status and strategy meetings with customers' senior management to understand and meet their needs.
  • Handle basic issues and problems under direct supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.
  • Other duties as assigned

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Diploma/Certificate or bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Possess a valid, full Canadian Driver’s License in good standing, authorizing you to drive independently during the course of your employment
  • Must be legally entitled to work for Cargill in Canada

Preferred Qualifications

  • One year of experience in the agriculture industry
  • Proven working knowledge of grain and crop input operations and products
  • Sales experience
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office

Position Information

  • Travel is required to cover the area of responsibility.
  • This position is an on-site role located in Rosetown, Saskatchewan.
  • Relocation maybe provided to Rosetown, SK and local area, if applicable.
