Job purpose and impact
The Senior Travel Agent is responsible for managing complex travel arrangements, ensuring full compliance with company travel policy, and acting as a subject matter expert (SME) for travelers and peers. This role plays a critical part in service excellence, policy enforcement, and continuous improvement initiatives.
Key accountabilities
- Book and manage complex domestic and international travel itineraries. Handle multi-segment trips, VIP travelers, and high-touch service requests
- Maintain high accuracy and quality standards across all bookings
- Monitor trends, identify service gaps, and recommend solutions
- Drive usage of preferred suppliers and maximize program benefits
- Leverage supplier agreements to deliver optimal value and traveler experience
- Partner with internal stakeholders to improve processes and service delivery
- Follow established and review travel related documentation, communications and traveler guidance to ensure alignment with corporate standards, policies and business practices.
- Independently solve moderately complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating more complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of two years of related work experience managing complex and international itineraries
- Advanced English (required)
Preferred qualifications:
- 5+ years of corporate travel experience (agency or in-house)
- Advanced proficiency in GDS systems (Sabre, Amadeus, Apollo)
- Experience supporting a global travel program
- Expertise in online booking tools (e.g., Concur, GetThere)
- Industry certifications (e.g., IATA, ARC accreditation)
- Experience with reporting, quality assurance, or process improvement
