Job Purpose and Impact

Cargill Risk Management, a business unit of Cargill, is a pioneer and leader in providing risk management solutions globally. At its core, our business is about working with customers to understand their commodity exposure and structure risk management (over-the-counter) products to meet their needs. Cargill Risk Management has offices in 11 countries, including Dubai and Switzerland. Our risk management solutions include but are not limited to over-the-counter products, credit, technology and advisory services.

The Sales Director – Cargill Risk Management (CRM) will be a key contributor to the EMEA team with special focus on Middle East and Africa, serving agricultural clients across these regions. This role is responsible for selling, training, and supporting a broad range of price risk management solutions across multiple commodities. The Sales Director will focus on expanding relationships with existing clients, developing new markets, and building strong partnerships both internally and externally.  Additionally, the role involves cross-functional collaboration to share market intelligence, product strategies, and customer insights that support broader adoption across regions. This strategic position is designed to expand CRM footprint in the region as well as adding value to Cargill physical clients.

Key Accountabilities

•    Build and strengthen strategic partnerships with current external and internal customers ensuring long-term engagement and satisfaction. while identifying and onboarding new prospects.

•    Develop and execute strategic sales plans to grow market share and revenue across assigned territories.
•    Lead the end-to-end sales process, including prospecting, onboarding, solution design, execution, and post-sale support in a regulated environment.
•    Collaborate with internal teams to align customer needs with product innovation and market intelligence.
•    Supportive team member through training, collaboration and problem solving. 

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum of 5 years of related work experience in customer - facing sales role, and expertise in commodity risk management
  • Able and willing to travel 30% (most of the time with up to 50% annually as needed)

Preferred Qualifications

  • More than five years of related work experience in customer-facing sales roles, and expertise in commodity risk management
  • Demonstrated success in teaching/communicating complex concepts, products, and information
  • Knowledge of futures and options markets, and trading strategies
  • Experience in commodities trading, financing, or merchandising
  • An understanding of risk mitigation, diversification, and portfolio theory
  • Strong business acumen and ability to build relationships in multiple levels of an organization
  • Ability to conduct business and execute with discipline in a regulated environment.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Practical experience in coaching, training, and/or developing others
  • Demonstrated success in teaching/communicating complex concepts, products, and information
  • Ability to translate complex concepts and explain it simply and effectively
