This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products. 

Job Type: Full Time
Shift: 1st shift (Mon-Fri from 6:00 am – 2:30 pm)

Pay range: $20.50/hr - 21.50/hr

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Weighing, packing, and labeling candy products as determined by printed work orders and/or component statements
  • Documenting completed work orders and recording finished goods build data
  • Inspect raw materials and verify product labeling to ensure accuracy and quality
  • Routine inventory audits
  • Operating forklift
  • Use of scanners and computer as necessary
  • Interacting regularly with peers and management to pursue continuous improvement
  • Coordinating and preparing work aligned with the supply and demand plan and production schedule
  • Collaborate during high-volume peak with different departments
  • Understanding and adhering to all Cargill safety rules and regulations
  • Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
  • Other duties as assigned

Requirements:

  • Eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production warehouse facility
  • Ability to work in varied indoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
  • ​​​​​​​Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • ​​​​​​​Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written)
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice
  • Ability to operate machinery and/or light industrial equipment with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Experience in a production environment



Preferred:

  • Basic math skills
  • Basic computer skills
  • Forklift experience operating both sit down and stand-up forklifts as well as electric hand jacks
  • High school diploma/GED or a minimum of two years equivalent work experience in a production environment ​​​​​​​
  • Experience in a food manufacturing production environment
