Trainee - Finance Operations
Job Purpose and Impact
The Finance Operations Trainee, Record to Report role supports Global Mobility and HR Accounting activities by collecting, processing, and providing accurate financial data to support financial reporting and business decision-making while ensuring compliance with financial transaction recording standards. Working under general supervision, this role performs a variety of activities in compliance with standard accounting procedures, including processing financial transactions, maintaining financial records and documentation, preparing financial reports, supporting employee-related accounting transactions, and assisting with audits.
Key Accountabilities
- FINANCIAL TRANSACTION PROCESSING: Processes financial transactions or uses technology tools to upload data into systems using defined computer programs to accurately and efficiently record financial transactions, including HR Accounting-related entries.
- RECORD ACCURACY VERIFICATION: Verifies the accuracy of invoices and other accounting documents or records, including detailed financial transactions related to employee expenses, mobility costs, payroll accruals, and HR Accounting activities.
- RECORD MANAGEMENT: Performs record information management activities using established policies and standard methodologies to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements, improve audit readiness, maintain data integrity, and support documentation requirements for Global Mobility and HR Accounting processes.
- DATA & REPORT COMPILATION: Compiles data and helps prepare various reports to provide accurate and reliable information to support business decision-making, financial analysis, and compliance with regulatory requirements related to HR Accounting, employee-related costs, and Global Mobility programs.
- PROCESS IMPROVEMENT: Collaborates on process improvement initiatives to improve the effectiveness of Record to Report services, HR Accounting operations, Global Mobility accounting processes, and internal controls.
Qualifications
- Bachelors or Masters Degree in Commerce or Finance related field.
- Graduates of 2025 or 2026 preferred.
- Excellent verbal, written, and cross-functional interpersonal skills.
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint, and basic data analysis techniques.
- Detail-oriented with good communication and teamwork skills.
- Eagerness to learn and a proactive attitude.
