Sidney Soybean Processing Plant
The town of Sidney, Ohio, is named after Sir Philip Sidney, a famed British poet, and is center to major historical trade routes. It is home to approximately 20,000 people and sits 35 miles north of Dayton. Numerous parks, a growing and thriving downtown area, summer farmers markets, and community organizations fostering arts and entertainment in the area are only a few of the many amenities it offers. Cities such as Columbus, Cincinnati, and Toledo are a short drive away, offering access to even more food, sports, entertainment, and travel options.
Cargill is proud to have been a presence in Sidney for over 40 years and employs 320 people at the facility. We operate a soybean crush plant, oil refinery, and packaging plant all on-site, and a recent multi-million-dollar investment has made it a state-of-the-art facility where we're able to better serve our local farmers and continue to meet the growing need for soy products across the globe.
We proudly support our community through the Cargill Cares Council, volunteering and donating to local charities such as Ronald McDonald House, Mercy Mission, various food banks, Salvation Army, and more. We plan a variety of events and activities throughout the year to recognize and show appreciation towards our incredible employees, including family picnics, raffles, thank you cards, meals, and other acknowledgements. We have a great history of growing our leaders from within through a wide array of development opportunities and new employees are provided with the training and support needed to be successful.
