This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Associate Marketing Marketing will develop customer specific marketing strategies, value propositions, experiences, targeted communications and new customer solutions and concepts. In this role, you will strategically execute a marketing strategy to achieve profitable growth and value creation for both customers and the company. You will collaborate cross functionally to establish business plans and marketing opportunities to activate and deliver customer value through the customer decision journey and achieve customer driven growth.
Key Accountabilities
- Plan, execute and measure marketing strategies, promotions, and annual plans for assigned customers to implement marketing strategies and sales objectives.
- Collaborate with the sales and insights teams, align marketing initiatives with channel optimization, brand activations, value propositions and product and category plans to ensure integrated marketing activities support a consistent customer experience.
- Ensure timely execution of key customer or channel initiatives based on priorities established through the marketing planning process.
- Demonstrate deep knowledge of customer priorities to help identify areas where additional customer profitability and brand growth can be achieved, while maintaining regular contact with business teams to ensure we are promoting the right products and innovations that align with their business strategies.
- Monitor channel performance and metrics and serve as the feedback loop between sales and customers to ensure efficiency of initiatives and improve return on investment.
- Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in marketing, Sales, or Business related or equivalent experience.
- Minimum of four years of marketing, sales or commercial work experience.
- Experience in Microsoft Office, Excel, PowerPoint, Word, and Outlook.
- Experience engaging directly with customers with a positive impact.
- Demonstrated strong communication skills (written, verbal, and listening) and presentation skills and capabilities.
- Must be able to travel 25-30%
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in value proposition development.
- Experience developing strategic marketing plans that generated customer growth.
- Experience in customer co creation and or customer experience.
- Experience in Foodservice or other related B2B marketing area.
- Ability to understand and use Consumer Insights to influence customer decisions.
- Ability to convert analytics into action.
External Applicant Information
The expected salary for this position is approximately $90,000 to $120,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal.
