This position is in Cargill’s food and bioindustrial business, where manufacturers, retailers, and foodservice companies rely on us to consistently deliver the products and services they need, and use our technical expertise and market knowledge to develop innovative products.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Strategic Pricing Value Consultantwill provide advanced knowledge and thought leadership of value based pricing principles to the sales, commercial, product line, marketing and executive leadership to grow revenue. In this role, you will identify and quantify areas of value for customers and influence a value based pricing and selling approach across the organization.
Key Accountabilities
- Define and handle the overall value strategy that supports commercial, product line and sales teams in customer interactions.
- Partner collaboratively with business partners to advise, define and deliver new methodologies for value quantification aligned with business and customer strategies.
- Develop economic value propositions for value drivers including value identification, quantification and value creation models pre and post sales.
- Create, own and lead the process, tools and information for value communication, value selling and value pricing in the organization.
- Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in a related field OR equivalent experience.
- Minimum requirement of six years of relevant work experience in commercial management, pricing, trading, procurement, finance or related field.
- Experience in B2B and B2C, Pricing, Trade Analytics, Financial Planning and Analysis or Profit and Loss Responsibility.
Preferred Qualifications
- Confirmed experience prioritizing, selecting and deploying pricing technology such as third-party pricing software including the ability to trade off such solutions against inhouse developed or other tailored solutions.
- Track record of identifying, developing strategies and executing on margin improvement opportunities.
- Experience using data analysis and strategic pricing tools.
Applicant Information
The expected salary for this position is $150,000 to $190,000. Compensation varies depending on a wide array of factors including but not limited to the specific location, certifications, education, and level of experience. The disclosed range estimate may be adjusted for any applicable geographic differential associated with the location at which the position may be filled. This position is eligible for a discretionary incentive award. The incentive award amount is dependent upon company performance and your personal performance.
