Job Purpose and Impact
The ESG Metrics Lead will lead Cargill’s corporate ESG Metrics Team and is part of Cargill’s Global Impact Team. In this role, you will be responsible for managing the end-to-end ESG metrics process; adapting and evolving the current process to meet new internal and external requirements. including improved process and controls, and requirements coming from global current and future regulations. This role provides the opportunity to work in a fast-paced and dynamic space that is critically important to both the company and the planet.
Key Accountabilities
- Manage Cargill’s ESG Metrics team responsible for greenhouse gas, water, and other relevant environmental and social metrics.
- Responsible for the end-to-end environmental and social sustainability metric accounting process; adapting and evolving the current process to meet new internal and external requirements.
- Implement processes, controls, and other requirements coming from current and future regulations.
- Develop, maintain, and apply industry standards expertise in sustainability as it applies to the relevant supply chains, sustainability topic area or geographies.
- Develop plans and deliver results in a fast-changing business or regulatory environment, while leading and developing a team of experienced professionals and supervisors, coaching, and making decisions related to talent management
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Minimum of six years of related work experience
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience managing and building geographically distributed teams
- 8 years of experience in ESG metrics accounting
- Experience implementing ESG metrics accounting processes at a Global 1000 or equivalent-sized company
- Experience managing consistent and accurate data collection processes and controls, and leveraging digital, data, and technology as applicable.
- Experience with stakeholder management and executive engagement
- Experience in the development of systems and processes, including digital, as it relates to sustainability.
