Job Purpose and Impact
As the Associate Director, Product & Agile Transformation, you will be responsible for leading a matrixed team of agile coaches, product coaches, and change experts, who will work together to design and implement a strategy and a roadmap for moving the organization from a project-led approach to a product-led operating model. You will collaborate with senior leaders, stakeholders, and teams across the organization to align the vision, goals, and outcomes of the transformation, and to ensure a smooth and successful transition. You will also monitor and evaluate the progress and impact of the transformation, and provide guidance, feedback, and support to the teams and individuals involved. This is an opportunity to lead a large-scale product transformation and establish new ways of working across Cargill technology and business teams.
Key Accountabilities
- Alongside the workstream lead and other senior leaders, define the scope, objectives, and deliverables of the product and agile transformation.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive and realistic transformation plan, with clear milestones, metrics, timelines, and dependencies.
- Establish and lead a cross-functional team of agile coaches, product managers, and change managers, who will work with the teams and units across the organization to facilitate the adoption of agile and product principles, practices, and tools.
- Provide coaching, mentoring, and training to the team members and the leaders on agile mindset, product model, values, and methods.
- Facilitate the creation and alignment of product vision, strategy, and roadmap for each team and ensure that they are aligned with the business strategy and priorities.
- Support the teams in defining and measuring the outcomes and value of their products, and in prioritizing and delivering the most valuable features and functionalities.
- Identify and resolve the barriers, challenges, and risks that may hinder or delay the transformation, and escalate them to the appropriate level when necessary.
- Monitor and evaluate the performance and impact of the transformation, using quantitative and qualitative data and feedback, and report the results and recommendations to the senior leaders and stakeholders.
- Actively manage the transformation roadmap including proposing changes and pivots and influencing changes even when authority is not clear.
- Foster a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement across the organization, and celebrate the achievements and successes of the transformation.
Qualifications
Minimum Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent in business, engineering, computer science, or related field.
- 6 + years of experience in coaching, mentoring, and training teams and leaders through significant change.
- Experience leading and managing complex and large-scale projects or programs, preferably in a product-led or agile environment.
- Proven track record of delivering successful outcomes and value through product and agile transformation, in a large and diverse organization preferred.
- Strong leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to influence and inspire people at all levels of the organization.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and decision-making skills, with the ability to deal with ambiguity and complexity.
- Highly adaptable, flexible, and resilient, with the ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
Preferred Qualifications
Three years of supervisory experience
