Wet Side Operator

This role is responsible for correctly, safely and efficiently tending and adjusting equipment using computerized controls and physical adjustments for a salt manufacturing and packaging facility.

Shift(s) Available: 3rd
Compensation: $21.50/hr
Sign-On Bonus: $1,500

Principal Accountabilities:
- Correctly, safely and efficiently equipment operation using computerized controls and physical adjustments for a salt manufacturing and packaging facility
- Product quality testing and housekeeping tasks
- Equipment troubleshooting to ensure efficient and consistent operation
- Brine well systems operation, including injection pumps, storage tanks, valves, etc
- Understanding and adhering to all safety rules and regulations
- Maintaining a safe and clean work environment
- Other duties as assigned.
Required Qualifications:
- Right to work in the U.S. that is not based solely on possession of a student visa or a visa sponsored by a third-party employer
- Cargill requires employees be a minimum of 18 years old to work in a production facility
- Ability to communicate in English (verbal and written)
- Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50 lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting safely, with or without a reasonable accommodation
- Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
- Must be able to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment PPE
- Basic use of a computer
- Ability to work overtime, weekends and holidays with advance notice
Preferred Qualifications:
- High School Diploma/GED or a minimum of two years relevant work experience
- Able to operate heavy equipment
- Forklift certification
- Prior experience in production
