Job Purpose and Impact

The Trade Compliance Excellence Senior Analyst will ensure requirements are met for complex and sensitive customs data and comply with applicable government laws and regulations. In this role, you will determine the preferential origin qualification for companies belonging to Cargill within EMEA. Also, you will collaborate with other global trade compliance team members to resolve escalations, analyse data to deliver required insights, interact with clients and support projects.

Key Accountabilities

  • Support development of guidelines, tools, templates and instructions to ensure compliance of sensitive customs data.
  • Contribute to customs data projects, special trade programs and implement regulatory requirements. 
  • Support process improvements that identify significant customs benefits and mitigates risks. 
  • Use technical knowledge to determine the preferential origin qualification in EMEA (FTA), review customs data and provide insights to business, operational and functional partners. 
  • Support external queries, ruling and audits related to customs, etc. 
  • Independently handle complex issues with minimal supervision, while escalating only the most complex issues to appropriate staff. 
  • Coach indirect reports.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience.

  • Knowledge of Free Trade Agreements in EMEA is a must. 

  • Calculating if materials are eligible for Preferential Origin is required. 

  • Minimum of 3 years of related work experience in the Preferential Origin qualification field.

Preferred Qualifications

  • SAP knowledge.

  • Ability to lead projects.

  • Knowledge in HS classification.

  • Understanding of customs regulations and programs.
