This position is in our specialized portfolio enterprise where we serve diverse businesses who support unique customers or markets, including animal nutrition and health, bioindustrial, road safety salt and Cargill joint ventures. 

Job Purpose and Impact

The Advisor, Applied Nutrition - Poultry will lead, coach and develop a team to execute the business plan to meet business goals. In this role, you will identify and execute new business development projects, lead, prioritize and report on the portfolio of new business development projects and drive company process improvements using available supporting tools and metrics.

Key Accountabilities

  • Monitor technical budget and metrics and report to stakeholders monthly.
  • Develop strong customer relationships at key accounts.
  • Collaborate with sales and marketing leaders on customer segmentation and satisfaction, account planning and the use of business planning software.
  • Monitor the application center, ensuring a safe working environment, food or product safety compliance and resource management.
  • Independently execute applications development work, ensuring that all projects are appropriately staffed.
  • Responsible for support of implementation of Global innovations on regional level through close work with in-market teams
  • Responsible for key Innovation projects in the region
  • Works closely with Global team as the bridge for in-market team
  • Leads innovation workshops and technical trainings for local teams
  • Provide expert thought leadership in your field and work with limited direction, using additional research and interpretation to identify issues or problems. You may provide direction to supporting team members and be a strategic contributor.

Qualifications

Minimum Qualifications

•    Bachelor's degree in a related field or equivalent experience
•    Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English
•    Minimum requirement of 6 years of relevant work experience. Typically reflects 10 years or more of relevant experience.
•    Previous experience and good understanding in poultry industry

Preferred Qualifications

•    Master's degree or other post-secondary degree, Doctorate degree
•    Managing projects experience
•    Experience with formulation software and ERP systems
•    Willing to travel in EMEA
•    Polish language is an advantage
•    Practical experience in applying ingredients in food or industrial or feed as appropriate (preference for Cargill portfolio ingredients)
•    Customer-facing technical service experience
