This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.

Principal Accountabilities:

  • Adhere to all safety rules and regulations.
  • Perform daily equipment checks and condition monitoring.
  • Operate forklifts (certification required – training will be provided).
  • Maintain feed safety standards, including daily bag tests and sample retention.
  • Operate and maintain labeling and inkjet printing systems.
  • Run, monitor, and maintain block mixing and block press systems.
  • Troubleshoot and maintain dust collection systems.
  • Operate, maintain and  troubleshoot block palletizer equipment mineral mix bagging systems.
  • Ensure availability for overtime as needed.
  • Monitor salt quality and uphold high standards for block products.
  • Maintain clean and organized work areas.
  • Complete routine paperwork accurately.
  • Work cooperatively and courteously with team members.
  • Execute tasks as assigned by lead or supervisor.
  • Confirm product and goods issue material in SAP system.
  • Ensure 100% downtime tagging accuracy in RT DUET system.
  • Demonstrates strong attention to detail and a commitment to quality while working independently and collaboratively within a team.

Required Qualifications:

  • Must be eligible to work in the United States without visa sponsorship
  • Must be 18 years or older
  • Ability to work in varied indoor and outdoor conditions which may include heat, cold, dust, loud noise, etc., with the use of personal protective equipment (PPE)
  • Ability to perform physical job duties which may include bending, lifting up to 50lbs, kneeling, climbing, crawling, and twisting, with or without reasonable accommodation
  • Ability to understand and communicate in English (verbal/written) 
  • Ability to work in elevated areas (4 feet and above)
  • Basic computer skills
  • Basic math skills including addition, subtraction, multiplication, & division 
  • Ability to work overtime including weekends, holidays, or different shifts with advance notice 

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Basic understanding of mechanical systems and troubleshooting.
  • Familiarity with SAP system preferred.
