Supervisor- Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory, 2nd shift

This position is in Cargill’s protein and salt business, where we provide wholesome, high-quality food products to a wide range of customers, from foodservice operators and grocery stores to manufacturers and exporters.
Job Purpose and Impact
The Food Safety, Quality and Regulatory Site Supervisor for 2nd shift, will ensure effective management of FSQR policies and procedures and maintain all related systems. In this role, you will oversee a team to ensure compliance with safety and quality regulations and standards. As part of the FSQR site leadership team, you will be involved in decision making processes for the site needs and team.
Key Accountabilities
- Day to day accountability to ensure compliance for all food safety and quality regulations, policies, standards and practices.
- Create an environment of open communication and ensure communication of plans and site activities from 2nd shift are shared with 1st shift.
- Ensure site standards are adhered to and support the reporting and completion of actions in the event of any deviations.
- Responsible for internal audit systems.
- Accountable for food safety related site improvements.
- Assist with customer audits and visits including corrective action close outs.
- Engage and encourage a small site-based team of food safety professionals. You will work independently as well as be a resource and leader to your team.
- Responsible for personnel decisions related to hiring, performance and disciplinary actions for your direct reports. You will also spend time completing the same tasks as employees on your team.

Qualifications
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
- Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent experience
- Computer skills and knowledge of common software packages
- Familiar with food safety standards
- Minimum one year of directly related work experience
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
- Previous leadership or supervisory experience
- Experience with systems such as iPFS, SAP, and Salesforce
